Technological advancements will be introduced alongside the expansion. This will include an automated warehouse system which will allow for an increase in accuracy of materials sent to the lines and improved manufacturing times. In addition, intelligent space management will be used within the warehouse and is expected to contribute to lower operating costs. Each of these measures ensures high flexibility for rapid adaptation in changing order volumes and response times to market and customer demands. As a result, these changes will answer the needs of the market as well as current and future demand.
“As we enter our 20th year in Świebodzin, we’re excited to begin our facility expansion that will benefit the community in the region and our customers,” added Michal Nowicki, General Manager of RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska. “From advancing technological capabilities to optimising space, these facility updates will allow us to continue meeting the needs of our customers on a larger scale”.
The expansion comes two month’s after Recaro announced that it is to increase the size of its German seat testing facility by 60% in 2026 as part of a series of measures put in place by the company as it expands its aircraft seating business.
The announcements come off the back of a predicted set of good results, which the company says it expects a ‘double digit’ growth in revenues in FY 2025 compared with FY 2024.
