Cathay Cargo recorded a 6% year-on-year increase in cargo volumes in October 2025, supported by an 8% rise in Available Freight Tonne Kilometres (AFTKs).<\/p>\n
Across the first 10 months of the year, the carrier reports that total tonnage grew by 10% compared with the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n
Lavinia Lau, Cathay\u2019s chief customer and commercial officer, said: \u201cIn October, momentum continued to strengthen despite various holidays in our home market, with growth observed across most regions.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe saw robust demand for our Cathay Fresh solution, driven by the transport of fresh produce from Southeast Asia and Oceania to Hong Kong, as well as chilled salmon from South America to the Chinese Mainland.<\/p>\n
