Low-cost carrier easyJet has reported a better-than-expected FY operating profit, due for the most part because of an increase in demand for the airline\u2019s package holidays.<\/p>\n
The headline operating profit for the financial year ended September grew to \u00a3703 million (\u20ac800.4 million), above the \u00a3669.37 million projected by analysts polled by LSEG.<\/p>\n
easyJet holidays, the company\u2019s high-margin package holiday arm, is now expected to log \u00a3450 million in pretax profit by 2030, having hit its previous medium-term target of \u00a3250 million this year.<\/p>\n
