Five aircraft based in the country are to be redeployed elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>The routes affected will be cut from the Winter 2026\/2027 schedule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/low-cost\/ryanair-refuses-to-restart-tel-aviv-flights-amid-slots-row\/\">Ryanair refuses to restart Tel Aviv flights amid slots row<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The announcement is in response to the Belgium government\u2019s plan to double air passenger duty to \u20ac10 per pax from 2027 and the Charleroi council\u2019s plan to impose a further \u20ac3 per passenger departing from its airport.<\/p>\n<p>Ryanair\u2019s CCO Jason McGuinness said: \u201cThe De Wever Govt has bizarrely decided to further increase Belgium\u2019s already sky-high aviation tax by another +100% from Jan 2027, on top of the +150% in July last.
