Cathay Pacific is marking it\u2019s 80th year of operations by holding a special event, which saw the reveal of an Airbus A350 painted in a retro \u2018lettuce leaf sandwich\u2019 design.<\/p>\n

A second aircraft will be painted in a similar livery, this time a Boeing 747 freighter.<\/p>\n

Cathay will be hosting a series of special events, initiatives and activations throughout 2026 for its 80th anniversary. Speaking at the event, Cathay Group Chief Executive Officer Ronald Lam welcomed the celebrations, adding:\u00a0\u201cLooking ahead, through our investment of well over HK$100 billion into our fleet, cabin products, lounges and digital innovation, Cathay will continue to elevate the customer experience as we strive towards our refreshed vision to become our customers\u2019 most loved service brand. Cabin crew donning Cathay Pacific\u2019s vintage uniforms through various design eras also made a special appearance, paying tribute to the generations of people who have defined the signature Cathay service in the skies. Throughout the year, many of Cathay\u2019s cabin crew and ground employees will wear and showcase these vintage uniforms at work as the celebrations continue.<\/p>\n
