Boeing and Air Cambodia have confirmed the Southeast Asian carrier\u2019s largest single-aisle aircraft order, with a firm commitment for 10 737-8 aircraft and options for a further 10.<\/p>\n
The deal marks Air Cambodia\u2019s first purchase of Boeing aircraft and was finalised in December 2025.<\/p>\n
The order, previously listed as unidentified on Boeing\u2019s Orders and Deliveries website, will support Air Cambodia\u2019s plans to renew and grow its fleet as demand for regional air travel continues to rise across Asia.<\/p>\n
With the introduction of the 737-8, the airline plans to expand its network of high-demand routes across North and Southeast Asia, leveraging the aircraft\u2019s range, operating efficiency and passenger comfort.<\/p>\n
Dr. David Zhan, chief executive of Air Cambodia, said: \u201cThe 737-8 gives Air Cambodia the ideal combination of range, capacity and fuel efficiency to support our next phase of growth. This investment \u2013 Air Cambodia\u2019s largest narrowbody purchase \u2013 will let us launch direct services to important markets across North and Southeast Asia, and offer competitively priced travel for passengers, while creating local jobs and training opportunities that strengthen our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n
Configured to carry up to 178 passengers in a two-class layout, the 737-8 is well suited to regional and medium-haul operations. Boeing says the aircraft delivers a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and emissions compared with the models it replaces, helping airlines lower operating costs.<\/p>\n
