Engineering and maintenance provider, HAECO, has signed a new three-year agreement with Air India to provide line maintenance support for the carrier\u2019s widebody fleet at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG).<\/p>\n
Under the contract, HAECO will support Air India\u2019s Boeing 777s, 787s and Airbus A350s at the Chinese gateway through 2029.<\/p>\n
The latest deal strengthens an existing relationship between the two companies, following earlier base maintenance work and non-technical transit support for Air India in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n
The agreement also reflects Air India\u2019s continued international expansion, with Shanghai described as a strategically important station as the airline grows its presence in China.<\/p>\n
Gerald Steinhoff, chief commercial officer of HAECO, said: \u201cWe are delighted to once again support Air India at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, building on a long-standing relationship that dates back more than a decade.<\/p>\n
