Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has announced four senior management appointments as the company prepares for the departure of G\u00e9ry Mortreux, executive vice president of Air France Industries, who will leave Air France-KLM on May 1, 2026.<\/p>\n
The leadership changes see Vincent d\u2019Andrea appointed executive vice president of Air France Industries, with Gilles Mercier succeeding him as senior vice president airframe maintenance. Tommaso Auriemma has been named chief executive of Barfield (AFI KLM E&M\u2019s US-based subsidiary), while Magali Jobert has been appointed vice president sales Asia Pacific.<\/p>\n
From May 1, 2026, d\u2019Andrea will report to Anne Rigail, chief executive of Air France, and will continue to represent all maintenance activities within the Air France executive committee.<\/p>\n
A graduate engineer from \u00c9cole Centrale de Paris, d\u2019Andrea began his career at Air France in 1998. After leading subsidiary CRMA, he joined AFI KLM E&M in 2014 as group component product director. Since 2018, he has served as senior vice president engineering and airframe maintenance.<\/p>\n
Taking over from d\u2019Andrea, Mercier will leave Barfield where he has served as chief executive for the past three years.<\/p>\n
Mercier joined the group in 2008 and has held a series of roles across engineering and maintenance, including head of costing and pricing, engine business unit manager, chief transformation officer, and chief of staff to the executive vice president engineering and maintenance. He joined Barfield in 2019.<\/p>\n
Auriemma, who will succeed Mercier at Barfield, brings more than 26 years of experience in the global MRO sector. Since 2021, he has been vice president sales for the Asia-Pacific region for AFI KLM E&M<\/a>, based in Singapore. He will relocate to Florida to lead Barfield from its headquarters.<\/p>\n He began his career in Italy, working in component shops as well as base and line maintenance, before moving to France to take on executive roles in engineering and procurement. He later spent six years as chief executive of Aerotechnic Industries in Morocco, overseeing base and line maintenance operations.<\/p>\n Jobert, meanwhile, will take up her new role in the Asia-Pacific region on July 1, 2026. She began her career at the age of 16 when she joined Air France\u2019s training centre to become an aircraft mechanic.<\/p>\n Specialising in operational maintenance, industrial customer support and strategy, Jobert has since held a number of senior leadership positions. Most recently, she served as vice president component asset manager and aerostructure, focusing on strategic asset management for industrial clients.<\/p>\n Brachet said:\u00a0\u201cI want to thank G\u00e9ry Mortreux for his 10 years of complete dedication and great accomplishments.
