Although U.S. officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c1l9vz064nqo\">once again reiterated<\/a> that operations in Irany might end \u201cin the next couple of weeks,\u201d multiple assets of the U.S. Marine Corps arrived in the U.S. Central Command\u2019s (CENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AoR).<\/p>\n<h3>USS Tripoli Arrives<\/h3>\n<p>In fact, CENTCOM stated on Mar. 28 that, on the previous day, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/theaviationist.com\/2022\/04\/09\/f-117-f-35b-uss-tripoli\/\">USS\u00a0<em>Tripoli<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(LHA-7) Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 31st Expeditionary Unit (MEU) have now arrived in the region. The ARG was dispatched to the Middle East two weeks earlier while it was sailing from the Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">U.S. Sailors and Marines aboard USS Tripoli (LHA 7) arrived in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, March 27. Among these are the <a href=\"https:\/\/theaviationist.com\/2025\/08\/12\/usmc-mv-22b-osprey-asw\/\">MV-22B Osprey<\/a> tiltrotors, CH-53E Super Stallion, UH-1Y Venom and MH-60S Seahawk helicopters for troop transport, as well as the AH-1Z attack helicopters and F-35B Lightning II fighter jets for close air support.<\/p>\n<h3>USMC F-35Cs to the Middle East<\/h3>\n<p>Earlier last week, ten <a href=\"https:\/\/theaviationist.com\/2024\/12\/13\/new-vmfa-251-thunderbolts-f-35c-cag-bird-breaks-cover\/\">F-35C Lightning II<\/a> fighter jets of the U.S. Marine Corps arrived at RAF Lakenheath in the UK. Kennedy<\/em>\u00a0(CVN-79)\u201d to complete the repairs on USS <em>Ford<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3>Even More Bombers<\/h3>\n<p>Additional bombers are on the way to <a href=\"https:\/\/theaviationist.com\/2026\/03\/23\/b-52s-launching-from-raf-fairford-with-jdams\/\">RAF Fairford<\/a> in the UK.
