The route will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays starting June 19 and running through to October 5.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The service joins existing seasonal connections from the Channel Island to Norwich, East Midlands and Paris Charles de Gaulle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cBordeaux is a fantastic addition to our Jersey schedule for summer, offering customers a direct gateway to one of France\u2019s most popular regions. Whether travelling for a long weekend or an extended break, this new route provides a convenient and enjoyable way to explore everything the area has to offer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe remain committed to enhancing connectivity for Jersey, and this latest addition, alongside our wider network of seasonal services, ensures customers have even greater choice when planning their summer travel,\u201d said chief commercial officer Ronnie Matheson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Matt Thomas, chief executive at Ports of Jersey, said the route marks an exciting step forward for European connectivity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe introduction of direct flights to Bordeaux marks an exciting step forward for Jersey\u2019s European connectivity. Alongside our popular Paris service, this twice-weekly route provides Islanders with greater flexibility for travel to the south of France, while also opening Jersey to a wider catchment of more than one million people living in the Bordeaux and Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThis represents a valuable opportunity for both inbound tourism and outbound travel. We\u2019re pleased to continue working closely with Loganair as they further build their presence and long-term investment in Jersey,\u201d Thomas said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The airline provides a 21kg baggage allowance as standard for passengers on the new route.
