The picture was captured by aviation photographer Enes \u00d6tken and posted on his Instagram page.<\/p>\n<p>The location can be assumed to be the T\u00fcrk Havac\u0131l\u0131k Ve Uzay Sanayi Anonim \u015eirketi\/Turkish Aerospace Industries\u2019 (TUSA\u015e\/TAI) facility northwest of Ankara. This is the same airframe that flew with a new <a href=\"https:\/\/theaviationist.com\/2024\/11\/28\/second-prototype-of-hurjet-new-colors\/\">light and dark gray paint scheme on Nov. 21, 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The airframe has a flight data probe (pitot tube) on the nose and, considering both the landing gear and the speedbrakes are deployed, it was captured while landing after a test flight. We can also see what appears to be two cameras placed in a v-pattern behind the landing gear, possibly to observe and record the vibration and impact the pylons have on the wings.<\/p>\n<p>The H\u00fcrjet is currently reported to be in its serial production stage, and four prototypes are currently flying, with TUS-A003 being one of them. <a href=\"https:\/\/turdef.com\/article\/huerjet-s-second-prototype-dons-weapon-pylons-on-all-slots\"><em>TurDef<\/em><\/a> has claimed that the aircraft will soon be integrated with the MURAD family of Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars, as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/theaviationist.com\/2025\/10\/23\/turkey-gokdogan-bozdogan-aams\/\">G\u00f6kdo\u011fan beyond visual-range and Bozdo\u011fan within visual-range<\/a> AAMs (Air-to-Air Missiles).<\/p>\n<p>Primarily, the jet will replace the Turkish Air Force\u2019s (T\u00fcrk Hava Kuvvetleri) older T-38 Talon jet trainers, of which the service operates 68 airframes, as per the <em>2026 World Air Forces<\/em> report. Regarding the pylons on TUS-A003, little information is available, and no statement has been released by TAI.<\/p>\n<figure aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-102010\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/theaviationist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Spain-Airbus-Hurjet-cover.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-102010\" src=\"http:\/\/theaviationist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Spain-Airbus-Hurjet-cover-706x397.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"706\" height=\"397\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Two H\u00fcrjet prototypes in flight, with the second edited to show Spanish markings. | Source: Airbus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3><strong>Turkish and Spanish H\u00fcrjet fleets<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Turkish Air Force (T\u00fcrk Hava Kuvvetleri) has ordered 12 aircraft, while the Ej\u00e9rcito del Aire y del Espacio (Spanish Air and Space Force \u2013 SASF), the H\u00fcrjet\u2019s first foreign customer, has <a href=\"https:\/\/theaviationist.com\/2025\/12\/30\/spain-signs-contract-for-30-hurjets\/\">signed on for 30 airframes<\/a>, under the now-designated SAETA II program.<\/p>\n<p>Sixty-percent of the jets will be produced locally in Spain, with an Airbus-led consortium producing many customized subsystems and components. The aircraft is slated to fly off the Turkish Navy\u2019s future MUGEM carrier, which has been depicted in both <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DefenceTurkey\/status\/1926882415240180179\">official<\/a> and unofficial renditions with the trainer aircraft among the platforms it will operate.<\/p>\n<p>Without expanding on the specific interest of the Turkish Naval Forces in the H\u00fcrjet, Demiro\u011flu merely responded in the affirmative when asked if the service has contacted the manufacturer for the aircraft.
