South Korean start-up carrier SUM Air has gone live with the AMOS maintenance and engineering platform from Swiss AviationSoftware (Swiss-AS), providing a digital foundation to support its first aircraft delivery and future fleet expansion.<\/p>\n

The implementation makes SUM Air the latest airline in South Korea to adopt AMOS, joining three other carriers in using the maintenance management solution to streamline engineering operations, improve efficiency and support long-term growth.<\/p>\n

Designed to provide a fully integrated digital environment for maintenance and engineering activities, AMOS enables airlines to manage maintenance planning, real-time execution tracking and regulatory compliance through a single platform.<\/p>\n

For SUM Air, which currently operates a single ATR 72 on domestic services and plans to expand into international markets, the system is intended to provide the scalability needed to support future fleet and operational growth while maintaining efficiency and compliance.<\/p>\n

The airline has also implemented AMOSmobile\/EXEC and AMOSmobile\/STORES, extending maintenance and inventory management capabilities to mobile devices.<\/p>\n

Using AMOSmobile\/EXEC, mechanics can access maintenance data, record tasks, view 3D graphics and videos, and electronically sign reports, enabling a fully digital workflow. Meanwhile, AMOSmobile\/STORES allows inventory and stores personnel to manage stock and day-to-day operations without relying on desktop systems or paper documentation.<\/p>\n

Swiss-AS<\/a> said the mobile applications help eliminate paperwork, reduce turnaround times and support faster decision-making, allowing growing airlines to scale operations without adding unnecessary complexity.<\/p>\n

Kim KyongMog, engineering team leader at SUM Air<\/a>, said: \u201cAs SUM Air grows its fleet in the coming years, AMOS provides the scalable, reliable system and operational stability needed to support our expansion, along with valuable guidance from the Swiss-AS specialists through implementation and daily operations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swiss-AS said the project demonstrates how start-up airlines can rapidly deploy a proven digital platform to establish efficient maintenance processes and create a scalable operational framework from the outset.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
