The next-generation of ultra-long haul widebodies commercial aircraft will be showcased at this year\u2019s Farnborough International Air Show.<\/p>\n
The event, which takes place every two years has announced what is describes as its \u201clargest and most diverse\u201d display line-up in decades.<\/p>\n
For the commercial and private airline sector the Airbus A350-1000 will be the star of the show alongside Bombardier\u2019s GLOBAL 8000.<\/p>\n
The flying display will also showcase advanced air mobility aircraft, heritage aviation and some of the most advanced military hardware.<\/p>\n
Headlining the display across the\u00a0five-day\u00a0event is the\u00a0US Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team, performing its only public display in Europe this year.<\/p>\n
The first aircraft and teams announced in the flying display include:<\/p>\n
Static aircraft will\u00a0include the\u00a0Czech Air Force\u2019s\u00a0JAS-39 Gripen,\u00a0DHL Air UK\u2019s B777-200LRMF,\u00a0BETA\u00a0Technologies\u2019\u00a0MV250, Embraer\u00a0S.A.\u00a0195 E2,\u00a0GE Aerospace\u2019s\u00a0B-747-400, General Atomic AeroTec Systems\u2019 Do228 NXT\u00a0and many more.<\/p>\n
Farnborough International Airshow takes place on July 20-24. On the final day the event will welcome\u00a0thousands of young people for a dedicated STEM day \u2013\u00a0Pioneers of Tomorrow \u2013 intended to inspire the next generation of industry leaders.<\/p>\n
The day will include dedicated features and activity, including\u00a0live entertainment, simulators,\u00a0\u2018Meet The Pilot\u2019 sessions, speaker programme, STEM activities and\u00a0Careers Fair and digital Job Board to advertise apprenticeships, graduate schemes and entry-level roles, as well as competitions and on-stand experiences targeted at young people.<\/p>\n
