Saudia Cargo has become the first cargo airline to deploy AI workers across its commercial operations through a new partnership with digital air freight platform cargo.one, marking what the companies describe as an industry first for the air cargo sector.<\/p>\n
The AI-powered system automates the handling of inbound requests for quotations (RFQs), delivering customer-specific quotes within seconds while allowing sales teams to focus on more complex and strategic customer interactions.<\/p>\n
Built using cargo.one\u2019s AI-native operating system, the AI workers analyse multiple variables, including flight dates, alternative airports and service tiers, before generating tailored quotations around the clock.<\/p>\n
The system is also capable of responding to customers in multiple languages while maintaining conversational context from the initial enquiry through to booking.<\/p>\n
The partnership is designed to address one of the most time-intensive aspects of airline cargo sales, where large volumes of quotation requests are received by email and require up-to-date research before pricing can be returned to customers.<\/p>\n
By automating much of this process, Saudia Cargo aims to improve response times while freeing its commercial teams to concentrate on specialist shipments and customer-facing activities.<\/p>\n
According to cargo.one, its AI workers typically reduce quote turnaround times by 68% while achieving an 89% first-time accuracy rate on AI-generated quotations. The platform can also intelligently classify sales opportunities and prepare complete customer-specific quotes in near real time.<\/p>\n
