Skyborne Academy has expanded its pilot training facility at Gloucestershire Airport to increase its UK training capacity for commercial airlines. The expansion includes additional hangar space for the academy\u2019s growing aircraft fleet, alongside new ground training classrooms and staff breakout rooms. The expanded site will work in tandem with Skyborne\u2019s existing base at Bournemouth Airport \u00a0to deliver UK Civil Aviation Authority and European Union Aviation Safety Agency Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence \u00a0courses, military pilot conversions, and modular training components for its Fly First pathway.<\/p>\n
The capital investment in the facility addresses the ongoing pilot pipeline constraints affecting regional and low-cost carriers, allowing the training provider to scale up its workforce. Skyborne plans to recruit additional flight instructors, aircraft mechanics, and administrative support personnel to service the expanded infrastructure and manage the increased student intake. The Gloucestershire and Bournemouth bases support the academy\u2019s structured airline programmes, which supply qualified flight crew to more than 50 operators globally.<\/p>\n
