Lufthansa Cargo, WiseTech Global and IBS Software have worked together to implement IATA\u2019s ONE Record data standard, successfully exchanging air cargo shipment records in a production environment.<\/p>\n
The collaboration is described as one of the first large-scale, multi-stakeholder implementations of ONE Record, which was introduced by IATA in January 2026 to support more transparent and seamless data exchange across the air cargo ecosystem.<\/p>\n
The first use cases involved Master Air Waybill data created by a freight forwarder using WiseTech\u2019s CargoWise platform. Shipment records were successfully received and processed by Lufthansa Cargo\u2019s systems through the IBS ONE Record server.<\/p>\n
The implementation enables data to flow more seamlessly between freight forwarders and the airline, while allowing freight information to be checked and processed within companies\u2019 own systems before transportation begins.<\/p>\n
ONE Record also supports the exchange of a wider range of freight data and file formats, providing greater transparency at individual shipment level and creating opportunities for more proactive management across the transport chain.<\/p>\n
Dr Jasmin Kaiser, head of information management and chief data officer at Lufthansa Cargo<\/a>, said: \u201cLufthansa Cargo has been actively driving the introduction of ONE Record for many years to support more efficient, paperless data sharing within the industry.<\/p>\n \u201cFollowing several pilot projects, we are now ready to connect to customers and partners even faster and more efficiently at scale.
