Embraer has secured a long-term extension to provide heavy maintenance support for SkyWest Airlines\u2019 fleet of 271 E175 aircraft, expanding the scope of an existing agreement and increasing maintenance capacity in the US.<\/p>\n
Announced at this year\u2019s Farnborough International Airshow, the agreement will see heavy maintenance carried out at Embraer\u2019s Services & Support facilities in Nashville, Tennessee; Macon, Georgia; and Fort Worth, Texas.<\/p>\n
The extension broadens the existing maintenance programme to support SkyWest Airlines long-term fleet planning and operational requirements.<\/p>\n
Joe Sigg, vice president of maintenance at SkyWest Airlines, said: \u201cThis heavy maintenance agreement is an important part of keeping our E175 fleet strong and reliable.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the world\u2019s largest owner-operator of the E175, this agreement will help ensure we\u2019re able to continue providing the exceptional, reliable product that people expect from SkyWest.\u201d<\/p>\n
Carlos Naufel, president and chief executive of Embraer Services & Support, said: \u201cSkyWest<\/a> has been a long-standing customer and strategic partner.<\/p>\n \u201cThis agreement reinforces Embraer\u2019s commitment to providing OEM-led MRO solutions that enhance fleet reliability and operational efficiency, while supporting our customers\u2019 growth with a robust and expanding maintenance network in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n The announcement comes as Embraer<\/a> continues to expand its US MRO footprint.
