Jamco Corporation, manufacturer of cabin interior equipment and a Bain Capital portfolio company, is expanding its footprint in the aircraft interiors market through the acquisition of Aerospace Technologies Group (ATG).<\/p>\n
Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, ATG has become the largest tier 1 supplier of electric window shade systems to aircraft OEMs worldwide. Its flagship aerBlade\u00ae system allows passengers and crew to control window shades at the touch of a button, removing the need for manual cabin checks during take-off and landing.<\/p>\n
ATG, which generates over $60 million in annual revenue, supplies its window shades as standard options on Bombardier, Gulfstream and Textron Aviation\u2019s Cessna business jets. It has also received Bombardier\u2019s Diamond Supplier award in consecutive years, 2022 and 2023.<\/p>\n
Both ATG and Jamco Corporation will continue to operate independently under a common ownership structure led by Kate Schaefer, executive chair of Jamco Corporation and now also executive chair of ATG.<\/p>\n

ATG\u2019s chief executive officer Mario Ceste paid tribute to the company\u2019s long-standing ownership before welcoming the acquisition. \u201cATG has been supported by Jacqueline Autry\u2019s ownership for many years, and on behalf of all ATG employees we are deeply grateful. The move marks Bain Capital\u2019s first step towards building a more comprehensive global platform for cabin interiors, combining Jamco Corporation\u2019s expertise in premium seating and cabin modifications with ATG\u2019s specialised window shade systems.<\/p>\n
