Global aerospace OEM Ontic has announced plans to open a new MRO facility in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, UK, designed to enhance aftermarket support for airlines and operators with faster turnaround times, greater transparency and OEM-standard repairs.<\/p>\n
The 64,000 sq ft purpose-built site, opening in phases from January 2026 and fully operational by Q4 2026, will consolidate 200 MRO specialists \u2013 including engineers, technicians, customer service, supply chain and logistics experts \u2013 under one roof.<\/p>\n
Ontic said the facility has been designed for future growth as the company expands its MRO capabilities.<\/p>\n
The new hub will feature pneumatic and hydraulic infrastructure, an avionics workshop with ISO7 clean room, non-destructive testing (NDT) capabilities, a machine shop and a dark room, along with significant additional space for expansion as new product licences are secured.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the licence holder for thousands of product lines, Ontic holds the proprietary data, tooling and test equipment required to repair components to OEM standards,\u201d the company said in its announcement. \u201cThe result is longer-lasting repairs, each backed by a warranty, delivered at the speed and reliability operators expect.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brian Sartain, chief operating officer at Ontic, said: \u201cThe opening of our Tewkesbury MRO facility marks a step-change in how we support our customers. By consolidating all our UK aftermarket expertise in one dedicated site, we are investing in the people, capability, and infrastructure to consistently deliver a faster, more responsive and more transparent service.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlongside our new Miramar facility in the US, this is a significant milestone in our commitment to keeping established fleets flying safely for decades to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dave Mayne, MRO director Europe at Ontic, said: \u201cThis is exactly what our customers have been asking for \u2013 an OEM repair, consistently delivered within the required turnaround time, and backed by an OEM warranty.<\/p>\n

The Tewkesbury development forms part of Ontic\u2019s $30 million global investment in MRO infrastructure, expanding capacity and capability across the UK and US.<\/p>\n
