Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) and SunExpress have signed a new, long-term agreement for the maintenance of CFM56-7B engines.<\/p>\n
The contract marks a new chapter in the partnership between the two companies and will span from 2025 through 2031.<\/p>\n
Under the terms of the agreement, AFI KLM E&M will provide comprehensive shop visit support services for the CFM56-7Bs powering SunExpress\u2019 fleet of Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft.<\/p>\n
Founded in Antalya as a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, SunExpress operates flights to 237 routes across 35 countries, carrying nearly 15 million passengers annually.<\/p>\n
The airline has ambitious expansion plans, with its fleet projected to grow to 166 aircraft by 2035.<\/p>\n
Cemil Sayar, chief operations officer of SunExpress, said: \u201d As our fleet continues to grow, it is critical to work with partners who understand our evolving operational needs.<\/p>\n
