China Airlines increases stake in catering unit

China Airlines has increased its holding of China Pacific Catering Services, according to regulatory filings.

The Taiwan-registered airline has increased its 51% share of the food supplier by a further 22% by acquiring shares from two separate share holders for approximately $98.2m

This transaction was approved by shareholders on January 19.

China Airlines has been working to improve it’s menu choices in recent months. Last December, the carrier announced a deal with Taiwanese Michelin Star-holding restaurant  T+T to develop a menu.
