Saudia Cargo announces critical medicine logistics initiative

Saudia Cargo has launched an initiative with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority to strengthen pharmaceutical and medical supply chains in Saudi Arabia.

The plan offers enhanced facilities and shipping cost reductions of up to 50% to ensure the uninterrupted flow of essential medicines. It will also lower costs for importers, and protect public health and economic stability.

It also highlights strong public–private sector cooperation and the Kingdom’s leadership in securing vital supply chains. Saudia Cargo will support the initiative using its IATA CEIV Pharma and CEIV Fresh certifications and advanced cold-chain capabilities to ensure safe, temperature-controlled transport in line with international and SFDA standards.
